YAWANAWÁ JOURNEY IS ROOTED IN A SIMPLE PRINCIPLE
What we receive through relationship with the Yawanawá, we find ways to return.
Through retreats, ceremonies, gatherings, medicines, art and other offerings, resources flow back to support the Yawanawá people, their communities and the continuation of their culture and traditions.
Together, we can contribute to the safeguarding of Yawanawá culture, community, ancestral knowledge and their relationship with the land.

Reciprocity In Action
Everything shared through Yawanawá Journey is part of a larger circle of reciprocity. The journeys, ceremonies, gatherings, traditional creations, art and medicines offered through this work create resources that return to the Yawanawá community-supporting the people, projects and traditions that make these exchanges possible.
Already In Motion
FOOD • VILLAGE INFRASTRUCTURE • BOAT & TRANSPORTATION
This work has already helped meet practical needs within the community-from providing food and daily necessities to supporting village infrastructure including the building of a chicken coop, and contributing toward a boat and transportation needs that help people and resources move between the village and surrounding communities.

These next initiatives create another path for reciprocity-helping Yawanawa creations and traditional preparations reach people beyond the village while returning resources directly to the community, the makers, and the traditions that carry this knowledge forward.

A living exchange.
The art, medicines and traditional creations of the Yawanawá are more than objects. They emerge from knowledge, practice and ways of life carried across generations. When these creations travel beyond the village, they create another form of exchange, connecting people to Yawanawá culture while returning resources to the hands, families and communities from which they came.
What is shared moves outward. What is received finds its way home.
OFFERINGS FROM THE YAWANAWÁ
Medicines, jewelry, art, kuripes, tepis and other creations made by the hands of the Yawanawa. Each piece carries a story, a prayer and the spirit of the forest.
